CarteBlanche Ukraine software installs electronic map of Ukraine downloadable to Garmin GPS navigators that support loading of City Select/City Navigator maps.

CarteBlanche Ukraine map provides street address search in all 30 cities mentioned above and automatic routing all over Ukraine.

The map, particularly, contains streets of the cities, mentioned above, European, national, regional and local roads, railways, rivers, streams, lakes, forests, parks as well as cities (points and contours) and points of interest (POIs).
All Ukrainian names are transliterated into Latin for your convenience. You can see the rules of transliteration here: www.brama.com/art/transliterationu.html
The total number of POIs is about 17000. This includes food and drink, banks and ATMs, lodging, shopping, transportation, petrol stations, border crossings, landmarks, churches, museums, cinemas, theatres, pharmacies, hospitals and more.
Many points of interest include contact information (street address, phone number and zip code). This applies mainly to restaurants, hotels, banks, airports, railway and bus stations and other objects that are most important for travellers. The map, particularly, contains all network of OKKO (www.okko.ua) filling stations with contact information for each one.
CarteBlanche Ukraine software provides enhanced search capabilities through the whole map by name of the cities, points of interest as well as streets and intersections. You may narrow the search area by specifying city/district and/or region.
While the overall map size is about 49 MB, it is splitted to 25 pieces ranging from 1 MB to 3.6 MB so that you can load to your GPS only those areas that you really need.
The map includes 7 layers to provide optimal detail both in your GPS and PC on all map scales. The map contours correspond to the international border of Ukraine to avoid overlapping when using in GPS together with maps of the other neighbour countries.
Road labels have been added to make the map more readable. The map also supports search by alternative (old) street/road names.

To install CarteBlanche Ukraine product you need to have Garmin MapSource software pre-installed. Any kind of MapSource is good for this purpose — City Select, City Navigator, MetroGuide, WorldMap, BlueChart or even Trip & Waypoint Manager. Some models of Garmin GPS come with some sort of MapSource included. If you do not have MapSource, you can buy it from Garmin dealers.
CarteBlanche Ukraine product comes with a license to use the map with one your Garmin GPS navigator. After you install our map on your PC, you need to unlock it for your specific GPS unit. You will be able to download unlocked map then only to that GPS, which it was unlocked for. If you need to use our map with more than one GPS unit, you have to purchase additional licences.
We continue the work on improving and updating our maps so new versions of CarteBlanche Ukraine are released quite often. If you are interested in our mapping product, it worth purchasing it now as there is no need in waiting for the next update. With our map you will be able to start enjoying the navigation or familiarize yourself with Ukraine right away and when the next version is released, you can get it via Internet free of charge.
