We keep working on improving and enhancing of CarteBlanche Ukraine product - electronic map of Ukraine for Garmin GPS navigators. Each version contains several hundred of changes, amendments and corrections.

Currently all registered users of the previous versions of CarteBlanche Ukraine product regardless of the date of purchase can download an update to the most current version from our website at no additional charge.

Current history of map changes is as follows:

Version 3.40
  • Added detailed coverage, including street address search, for the cities of Chernihiv, Chernivtsi, Luhansk, Sumy and Yalta as well as some cities around Kyiv such as Boryspil', Brovary, Irpin', Obukhiv, Ukrainka.

  • Added detailed coverage for the South Coast of Crimea (Big Yalta region).

  • Improved routing over cities of Kyiv, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovs'k, Simferopol' and Kherson.

  • Added more than 50 road junctions captured in details in AR Krym, Chernihivs'ka, Chernivets'ka, Donets'ka, Khersons'ka, Kyivs'ka, Luhans'ka, L'vivs'ka, Sums'ka and Zaporiz'ka regions.

  • Added about 500 points of interest all over Ukraine, particularly — in the cities of Rivne and Zhytomyr. Added certain number of border crossings. Naming of the border crossing has been standardized to include names of the crossings in both countries, country codes and type of transport, allowed for the crossing, if differs from automobile.

  • Some corrections of the road network all over Ukraine.

Once again we thank to many our customers for the feedback and support. Suggestions that were not taken into account in this version of the map will be surely considered in the next releases.

Version 3.31
  • Considered some streets in Kyiv became one way recently.

  • Improved routing in Kharkiv.

  • Improved routing over the border of Ukraine when used with Garmin City Navigator maps.

  • Added an indication of map version number in GPS navigator as well as in Mapsource program.

Version 3.30
  • Added detailed coverage for the cities of Ivano-Frankivs'k, Kirovohrad, Rivne and Zhytomyr.

  • E95 European road, that crosses Ukraine from North to South, has been detalised. Most of it now presents in the map as a dual carriage way, with road junctions, crossroads and U-turns shown precisely.

  • E40 road has been also detalised along the segment Kyiv — Boryspil airport. "Highway" road type has been assigned to this segment.

  • Corrected street network and improved routing over city of Odesa.

  • Added more than 60 road junctions captured in details in Cherkas'ka, Chernihivs'ka, Dnipropetrovs'ka, Ivano-Frankivs'ka, Kyivs'ka, Kirovohrads'ka, Mykolaivs'ka, Odes'ka, Poltavs'ka, Rivnens'ka and Zhytomyrs'ka regions.

  • Added over 2000 points of interest in the cities of Ivano-Frankivs'k, Kirovohrad, Luts'k, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Rivne, Uzhhorod and Zhytomyr.

  • Some corrections of the road network all over Ukraine.

We thank to many our customers for the feedback and support. Suggestions that were not taken into account in this version of the map, will be surely considered in the next releases.

Version 3.20

  • Fixed the problem with street address and city search in Ukrainian (Cyrillic) version of the map in Nuvi 2xx devices with localised firmware and in MapSource program.

  • Some minor corrections of road network attributes.

Version 3.10
  • Added detailed coverage for the cities of Luts’k, Mykolaiv, Poltava and Uzhhorod.

  • Corrected street network and improved routing over Donets'k and Zaporizhzhia.

  • Some most recent changes in traffic management in Kyiv are taken into account.

  • Added more than 50 road junctions captured in details in Dnipropetrovs'ka, Donets'ka, Mykolaivs'ka, Poltavs'ka, Volyns'ka, Zakarpats'ka and Zaporiz'ka regions.

  • Improved routing with Garmin City Navigator 9 map.

  • Some corrections of the road network all over Ukraine.

Version 3.00

  • Added detailed coverage for the cities of Simferopol', Sevastopol', Kherson, Kmel'nyts'kyi, Cherkasy.

  • Street address search function now works in all 12 cities with detailed coverage.

We plan to extent the detailed coverage of the map including street address search substantially in the next version of CarteBlanche Ukraine map.

  • Improved routing in Dnipropetrovs'k, Kharkiv and L'viv.

  • Provided an option to dial POI's contact phone numbers from the GPS navigator via mobile phone (for Bluetooth compatible devices).

  • Added more than 20 road junctions captured in details to provide precise guidance over them in Dnipropetrovs'ka, Kyivs'ka, L'vivs'ka, Mykolaivs'ka, Khersons'ka, Khmel'nyts'ka, Cherkas'ka regions and in Krym (Crimea).

We will keep adding detailed road junctions in the next versions of the map.

  • Some corrections of the address database in Kyiv.

  • Added more than 1000 POIs such as banks, ATMs, auto repair facilities, shops, restaurants, tourist attractions and others.

  • Many  corrections of the road network all over Ukraine.

  • Updated autorouting attributes database in Kyiv.

  • Added a few hundred of POI such as petrol stations, auto repair facilities, supermarkets and others.

Version 2.20

  • Applied new road classification valid in Ukraine since June, 2006.

  • Fixed the problem with street search in new automotive navigators Garmin Nuvi and StreetPilot C series.

  • Substantial number of roads made more precise all over Ukraine, particularly in Crimea.

  • Added or corrected ring roads of several towns.

  • Added section of Е87/М15 road near Maiaky — Udobne border crossings that has a status of the property of Ukraine on the territory of Republic of Moldova. Click here if you wish to see the respective official document (in Ukrainian).

Due to the simplified procedure of the border crossing for the citizens of Ukraine we provide automatic routing between Odesa and Izmail over this road. Foreign citizens may wish to check the admission details with the authorities of Moldova. In case of difficulties an alternative route via Bilhorod-Dnistrovs'kyi, Zatoka is available.

  • We started the work on adding detailed road junctions on the principal roads outside of the big cities with proper routing attributes, for example:

  • Substantial update of the routing attributes database for Kyiv.

  • Some most recent changes in the road network of Kyiv are taken into account.

  • Concidered a few recent changes of street names in Kyiv.

  • Improved guidance on roundabouts in Kyiv by advising the proper exit number.

  • Provided detailed shoreline of the southern part of Kyivs'ke reservoir on Dnipro river.

  • Added 17 new OKKO filling stations. At this moment our POI database includes 198 filling stations of "Concern Galnaftogaz", the owner of OKKO network.

Version 2.10

  • Added automatic routing for the whole Ukraine!

  • Corrected some roads all over Ukraine.

  • Added or corrected ring roads of many cities to provide automatic transit routes bypass such cities by riding these roads, when applicable.

  • Names of some regional roads made standard conforming to recent changes in state roads classification.

  • Provided integrity of roads network all over the country.

  • Despite significant improvement of the map itself and its functionality, the total size is now a bit smaller thanks to more optimal presentation of the line objects.

  • Significant update of autorouting attributes database (turn restrictions, one-way streets, vehicle restrictions). Among other, considered some very recent changes in traffic organisation in Kyiv.

  • Some corrections of the road network in Kyiv.

  • Improved appearance on the screen of streets in Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovs'k, Donets'k, L'viv and Odesa on medium detail scales.

  • To made street search in GPS easier, most street names are brought to same standard.

  • Added all network (currently — 181 pcs.) of OKKO filling stations, including address and phone number information.

OKKO is one of the best networks of filling stations in Ukraine. It is now present mostly in Western part of Ukraine. High quality fuel, great service, wide range of supplemental services like cafe, shop, tire inflation, car wash, vacuum cleaner etc. as well as dynamic network expansion make OKKO one of the leaders of the Ukrainian fuel market. Thanks to direct cooperation with "Concern Galnaftogaz", the owner of OKKO network, we will always keep the information on OKKO stations up-to-date. New filling stations of this brand will be added to CarteBlanche Ukraine map in the version following their appearance.

  • Added detailed coverage for the city of Zaporizhzhia (Zaporojie).
